What does the "Art is Resistance" symbol - flag with three pointing fingers and a star in the corner mean?
There's this flag-like symbol on a bumper sticker, and I really want to know what it means. The text under it says "Art is Resistance", and the the symbol is red on a black background. It looks vaguely like the American flag, with the stripes as three outstretched fingers, and a single star in the lower part of the square where the "stars" are usually on the American flag. Anyone know the significance?
It is the logo of the Art is Resistance movement (AIR). The whole movement was started when the band Nine Inch Nails release of their album Year Zero (http://yearzero.nin.com), which describes what this world is going to be if we don't wake up and give a shit. They are NOT an occult, or a bunch of radicals. They are simply a group of people making non-violent protests though art and music
