Each year people watch the American Music Awards to find out whether their favorite musical artists get the recognition the fans believe they deserve. There's a whole lot more to the AMAs, this year being no different. The most dramatic moment was when Jennifer Lopez, affectionately known as J. Lo - falling on stage at the AMAs.
Dont worry, J. Lo's fall wasn't a bad one. She didnt get injured, but when J. Lo falls at the AMAs, it's kind of a big a deal. Luckily, the same part of her body that helped her become uber-famous has not only made her millions, it protects her when J. Lo falls down on stage. So she's fine. She has an insurance policy on that which made her famous, so if she did get injured she won't need quick personal loans.

Yes, America voted for that folk singer guy whose name I cant remember. Adam Lambert did get a huge write-up in Rolling Stone, and he's getting a lot of press thanks to the cover of his debut album. As if you didn't notice: as a runner up, Adam Lambert is way more famous than the guy who actually won "American Idol" last year.
Keeping with his rise to superstardom, Adam Lambert's performance at the AMAs has gotten a lot of attention. Not all of the feedback on Adam Lambert's performance at the AMA's is positive, but that's to be expected. Watch Adam Lambert's performance for yourself before you go listening to all the critics and complainers whinge about it.

American Music Award winners
In case youre wondering who actually won at the American Music Awards, heres the rundown of the big ones. Michael Jackson won four awards posthumously, winning Favorite Male Artist in pop/rock, and also for soul/rhythm and blues. His album Number Ones got Favorite album in both of those categories, too.
The Black Eyed Peas took home Favorite Band, Duo, or Group in both categories. Rascal Flatts took that title in the country category. Jay-Z won all available titles in the rap/hip hop category, winning Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album. Keith Urban won Favorite Male Artist for Country, and Beyonce won Favorite Female Artist for soul/R&B.
Taylor Swift won the most awards, five total, taking home favorite Female artist for pop/rock, country and adult contemporary. She also won Favorite Album for Fearless in the country category. She also, of course, won Artist of the Year.
