Egypt: Do you think the current economic crisis will one day?
cause the world to be set back in a major way so we would all return to primitive ways of living? without cars, internet, weapons, technology,..?
Do you think this is how the world will eventually end? because i think we've reached the peek of progress and now the curve has to go down again.. like a human's life.. baby then grown man (peek) then grows old again (pretty similar to baby stage) then death..
do i make sense or is this just my drunken theory?
I agree with most of what you say, everything declines after reaching maturity.. But this is not the case over here, according to economics, everything finds its way back to equilibrium.. The economic crisis is similar to the 30's depression, and back then everybody thought that the great depression was the end of the western world, but it wasn't..
"The crisis from which we are now suffering is also the outcome of credit expansion" Ludwig Van Mises (1931).. This is the exact same root cause of the economic crisis we're going through now.. It's all because of Corporate America's ignorant monetary system that issued a lot of money(loans) to people who wouldn't be able to pay back, hence banks started shutting down due to bankruptcy.. It also lead to mortgage crisis and foreclosure.. Which lead to adverse consequences for banks and financial markets around the world..
Anyways, I think that everything will be okay, but it will take sometime.. It certainly isn't the end of the world..

What Agamemnon1969 mentioned is right.. there is no such thing as scarce resources, we have unlimited resources.. But some groups choose not to use these unlimited resources to gain more money, because products' price is derived from it's scarcity..
