How do I trade in my personalized license plate for a standard plate?
I currently have a personalized license plate on my car, and no longer want it. How do I trade in my personalized plate for a standard plate?
Take the plate to your state DMV office and trade it in for a regular plate.
There may be a small charge for the replacement plate, depending on the state. You may also need your insurance information and registration card.
