Its summer time and you finally want a night out on the town with you and your significant other. School and work is put on hold and you can't wait to get out and see what the night has to offer you whether you are with a significant other or your single and by yourself. Whatever the case we could all use at least a night to ourselves with this busy summer of work or summer school and relaxation and going to see a movie is the perfect idea. But how do you dress for an enjoyable night at the theaters? You want to be sheik but casual, sultry yet down to earth. You want to look nice but not be over dressed for a movie.
It is possible to be overdressed for a movie and most of the time you want to be comfortable. Films are now more than hour or so longer than what they use to be so you want to feel relaxed. Here are some tips to think about before going out tonight and believe it or not but these tips are to enhance you casual jean and t-shirt look or the nice skirt and blouse.
- Wear a silk scarf: This garment catches a lot of attention yet it could be the smallest piece on you. If you're wearing neutral colors or solids go for a printed scarf that can be either tied about the neck or worn as a head band. There are numerous ways to wear a scarf but for now you want to pair it off with something that is relaxing for movie night. If you choose to wear printed blouse that is silk or any other fabric go for a more subtle color scarf, one with solid colors. It won't have the same effect as the painted scarf but it will be just as effective. If your blouse is tasteful with patterns pick a scarf color that is an accent color, a color within you blouse, skirt, jeans that isn't seen almost immediately but is there. For example you can have a pink and white shirt with a floral pattern with just a hint of orange and yellow within in the flower. Choose a silk scarf that is yellow or orange. You can go with pink or white as well but the accent colors would add more kick to your casual wear. Top it off with some nice jeans or skirt and comfortable flats or heels if your use to them. - Shoes can make or break your outfit. Look for shoes that are comfortable yet are stylish. Sometimes you can wear the most outlandish shoes and the say too much. For movie night pick the heels that have a bit of jazz in them maybe have a visible zipper along the side or buckles. If it's the classic jean and a nice shirt assembles choose shoes that make that shirt pop or if you wear a white blouse don't be afraid to wear a different color for shoes other than black. Pinks, tans, and browns, and even blues would stand out great on numerous complexions.
