any ideas for birthday invitations for a 12 yr old girl?
We are having a birthday party outdoors that will include music, bonfire, maybe a hayride. There will be about 50-60 invitations sent out. Guys and girls will be invited. My daughter (birthday girl) is NOT a girly girl. She is more into sports, computers, etc...
Her brother had a dance party for his 13th b'day recently and we put all the party info on the front of a cd that he gave out as invites. I liked that idea, but want something original for her b'day. thanks
Since you said you are having a bonfire, how about you get her to gather 50- 60 small twigs approx. 6-8 inches long, all about the same size. Go to the grocery store on the lane that they stock there lunchbox or single serving size snack foods. You can buy individual serving size bags of miniature marshmallows. Buy one bag for each invite. Then find the original "girl scout" recipe for s'mores. On your computer, print the recipe on natural organic textured paper, on the opposite side print the party info, tear the edges to give the invite a rugged look punch a hole with a hole punch in both the invite and the corner of the marshmallow bag on the sealed edge as not to contaminate the food. Loop some natural twine through the invite and the mallow bag and tie the twig on. And presto, crafty, unique, themed party invite. Just make sure you have all the s'mores supplies on hand for the party.
