Do military hospitals offer a home birth option or midwives?
I'm not pregnant yet but I just watched The Business Of Being Born and well, I feel empowered. Now, we're stationed in Japan and I'm not too sure about military hospitals or Misawa AB in specific, but from your experience, do military hospitals really do interventions like civilian hospitals do? And do they give you a home birth options?
What I understood was that military hospitals are even worse for interventions than regular hospitals. You would get a routine electonic monitor, IV, possibly a routine epidural and forceps.
