We hear all the time how traditional sources of power are being run down and that something needs to be done to provide renewable green power. Viewing Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth, we get an idea that we need to change our ways and reduce our use of fossil fuels. Genuine irreversible harm to the environment will be the consequences of our actions.

It is a good idea for us to make the most of renewable green power technology because the continued use of fossil fuels and nuclear power present plain hazards to the environment and the globes climate. There are an ever increased number of renewable green energy technology alternatives that we should take notice of. Fossil Fuel reserves are finite, significantly, the renewable energy sources of solar, wind and water have energy reserves that far outnumber the present amounts of fossil fuels left. With the current destruction we are doing to the environment, we need to lessen our use of fossil fuels.
It is important that we look after the environment and make use of renewable green energy technologies before we reach the point of no return and irreversible damage is done. Accelerated global warming has been created by the burning of fossil fuels like wood, coal and oil, this releases carbon dioxide, one of the most important greenhouse gases.This isn’t all that terrible is it? We would all like our weather to be a little warmer and sunnier! Nevertheless we have exasperated the circumstances by destroying rain forests, plant and animal life, reducing the planets natural healing. The consequence of our actions has been to globally shrink the size of ice sheets and glaciers, warming of polar regions and causing deadly heat waves and floods.

By taking advantage now of renewable green energy technologies such as solar energy and wind energy, we will be assisting in helping to reducing the effect of accelerated global warming because the amount of fossil fuels being used will be vastly reduced. Solar power is a renewable and sustainable resource that uses the suns radiation to produce power. Buildings are currently being designed to use the benefits of passive solar technology helping to supplement the lighting and heating needs. At present, smaller domestic solar collectors are being used in a number of countries to supply hot water to the home, reducing owners heating bills and carbon footprints. We need to take complete advantage of renewable green energy, and climate change is a worldwide problem so we all must make a contribution.

Energy efficient houses can contain many ways in which to reduce use of fossil fuels. Outside lighting is solar powered, the windows are devised to let lots of sunshine in during the winter, but screens keep the house cool in the summer. To put a stop to the loss of surplus heat to the environment, you can put in wall and loft cavity insulation as well as a solar powered hot water system. It’s fantastic how people are doing all they can to find ways to use renewable green energy and accordingly provide a cleaner and greener future lacking pollutants.
