Which is better? A cover-up or lazer removal of tattoo?
I have a HUGE tattoo on my lower back. It is a name is big black letters (2 inches tall by 6 inches wide). On both sides of the name are huge colored hibiscus flowers (yellow, orange and pink). I tried to go to the guy that tatooed me, but his shop has been closed. I went to a few other local artists, none of which impressed me. 2 said to do lazer to lighten, then cover it and another thought he could try to turn it into an underwater scene, and another one suggested dark flowers over the letters to make a flower trail across my lower back. I am trying to decide whether I should cover it up or get it lazered off. Anyone have experience with either on such a big dark piece?
I don't mind having a tattoo there, I just don't want it to look like a black blob 
I actually like the underwater scene idea, I am just nto too sure if that guy was a little over ambitious as he was just out of apprenticeship....

Well its hard to tell without a picture and background info...but from what you've described I'd say just get a cover up.
If you've gotten multiple opinions and they say that you're able to get it covered you'll be fine.
Laser treatments are very expensive. If you have the money, I'd say definitely go for it, and then get it covered with something else after its lightened.
