Returning a cellphone to china. Custom declaration?
I recently bought a Iphone clone from china through ebay. Well.. It doesn't work. Seller is giving a return refund.
Now. I am going to be using the US Priority Mail Flat rate box (international). $12.95
The problem is... What should i put on custom declaration to avoid duties + taxes etc..
I saw many ebay sellers saying that they label their items as Gift and low value to avoid duty.
Can you help me?
Ignore those idiots. It's not a gift and the Customs authorities are wise to bogus gift claims.
You show that value as it is, supported by your original invoice. You then mark the customs declaration with the following statement, "Previously exported goods being returned to seller without increase in value." and sign the statement. Enclose certified COPIES of the original shipping invoice and customs declaration from when it was shipped to you.
